The Title 26/11 is much more than a coincidence. When it was decided to open the space in November, this title provided a curatorial possibility. It also provides relevant context to reflect up on. 26/11 is not just another day but a significant one that stands for a set of problems that are implied with historical as well as contemporary aspects. It is a parable of our times. It stands for what should not have happened.

The artists’ works exhibited in this show does not form a deliberate recall of the incident. Instead it functions as a platform to bring divergent art practitioners under a single show. These works, however, definitely echo some underlying historical as well as contemporary aspects that form the peculiar characteristics of our time. Or else, they are dealt with a set of codes or images that reflect certain social narratives- narratives of what exists as real (and thus legitimate) yet problematic. The real meaning of the artist’s work, probably, lies in an expectation, possibility of a reversal.

watching movie 'Prince"

last week we were on a holiday in Ahmedabad, seen two shows with lots of visual effects, one is Movie Prince in Drive inn theatre. and another one is Laser water show at Akshardham temple in Gandhi Nagar , fire in the water body, formation of fireballs, scenes of various hues on the water fountains and formation of a galaxy of stars on land, etc etc. Very well designed show ( but its unfortunate that badly organized volunteers to handle the extra crowd.) Hats off to the creative director Yves Pepin, for the fabulous laser show production.
These effects Remind me of 1980's ballet performances in Kerala and Tamilnadu during temple festivals and the other great shows by "Andhra Pradesh's traditional theatre called "Surabhi". Their live shows are without softwares and hardwares, they are skilled 'human-wares'. They were struggle to survive. I wish Tata Elxi and Mr. Yves Pepin could see those days talent's. (if it exists)
The other one is on bollywood movie Prince' involving special effects ever conceived in hindi movies... . The intensity of shooting and running and freezing actions etc etc..... thanks to Pankaj Khandpur, Creative Director, VCL, Tata Elxsi's who spend 3 years effort for the special effects . . good. .. not too boring. Hope next projects will do better.

Drive Inn experience is nice except few spectators come to have a party while watching movie. Place as open air is good, and also very reasonable, and comfort, no rush, best for summers...
Mr Oscar Pookutty's sound is lost, because of the bad acoustic system in the drive inn theatre.

After watching the film "Situation" directed by Philip Haas made me more interest towards working for social causes. People who suffering in between conflicts. This is a film on the backdrop of 2003 iraq war

Such like situations every where in Kashmir, Sri lanka, Indian naxal operative areas etc etc, But hate all mediocre organizations working and exploiting human beings.

My friend who made a great film on Srilankan issue named "In the name of Budha" . The way he shot and captured human life is exactly what is happening today. Civilians- innocents dying for no reason.

Standing on the top of the world that's what i felt. My Cam is again above me. when i try to make a self-portrait with Arul and Shaji in the backdrop of Malabar Rain Forest. The view from watchtower hill is given a view of 360 degree above the all hills with an altitude of

3400 metres. Just fabulous, Prof. Arul Mani and I had a wonderful experience, treks, some good food, during our two days stay with Fringe Ford home stay on assignment. as usual i decide to come back with my family , but hardly happen. The place is real thing is one of the few natural forest untouched "so far"
